Nos vamos de intercambio al sur de la Bretaña Francesa a la península de Le Croisic, en una antigua casita de pescadores totalmente rehabilitada en piedra antigua, y toda de color azul y blanco, con su terracita, muy coqueta y acogedora. Llegamos el miércoles día 15 por la noche, y nos encontramos con que se estaba celebrando la fiesta del mar, fuimos a cenar al puerto, como era fiesta todos los restaurantes estaban a rebosar, y después de recorrerlos todos, encontramos una mesa en uno de los primeros a la entrada del puerto “Le Bregtane”, donde su especialidad era las pizzas, aunque comimos una carne a la brasa muy buena. Al terminar pudimos disfrutar de grupos folklóricos con los trajes típicos de la zona y de una tirada de fuegos espectacular al ritmo de la música.

2º día por la mañana se celebra en la Place Dinan un mercadillo donde se puede encontrar de todo ropa, productos típicos, algo de artesanía, y incluso comida para llevar, muy bonito hasta las 13:30 aprox. Nos sentamos a tomar algo en el café “Le bistro de la Place” donde tienen conexión wii-fi, aunque también hay conexión gratuita en la oficina de turismo y en la biblioteca. Por la tarde realizamos la ruta que da la vuelta a la península, de 8 km, recorriendo varias playas y toda la costa salvaje hasta volver nuevamente al centro del pueblo, y ya anocheciendo a hacer algunas fotos sobre los acantilados.

3º día todavía no se había puesto es sol cuanto cogimos carretera hacia Vannes, de camino hicimos nuestra primera parada en un pueblecito que encontramos por casualidad que tenía un encanto especial, los parkings eran espectaculares jardines con paseos de madera, donde se podían apreciar caminan por ellos fotografías colgadas en los troncos a modo de escultura, y así por toda la villa, además del enorme puerto que encontramos lleno de veleros para ser una villa tan pequeña. Después de una hora llegamos a Vannes, donde recorrimos todo el puerto, el casco histórico por dentro de la muralla, y los jardines más bonitos a la derecha de la entrada principal, antes de coger el tren turístico que nos llevaría a recorrer la muralla por fuera, ya que la temperatura superaba los 40ºC. A la hora de comer nos sentamos en uno de los restaurantes del casco antiguo “Le St ex” a degustar uno de los platos más típicos de la zona, “mejillones con patatas fritas”, que por cierto nos sirvieron una olla por persona, la cual nos fue imposible terminar. Ya por la tarde nos dirigimos a Carnac, a ver los dólmenes y los megalitos, donde nuevamente cogimos el tren turístico, ya que al guardar el ticket de Vannes te hacen descuento, y es un precio muy asequible para un recorrido de una hora, el cual nos ayudó a centrarnos un poco. El recorrido va desde el centro de Carnac con unas playas impresionantes hasta el precioso puerto de “La trinite de Sur mer”, y después por el interior pasando por varias granjas y todas las zonas de interés, aunque este recorrido solo lo hacen en inglés y Alemán. Ya al anochecer de vuelta hacia la península nos detuvimos en el “Castillo de Sucinio” en el pueblo de “Kerguet”. La mayor parte se encuentra en pie, y está al pie de un lago, así que imaginaros que fotos con la caída del sol.

Carnac

4º día, decidimos ir a visitar la parte norte de Bretaña, pero sin rumbo, por donde nos lleve el coche. Nuestra primera parada es a una hora en el “Castillo de Groulais”, que se encuentra al lado de un precioso río lleno de nenúfares y flores coloridas, con pequeños puentes para cruzar del pueblo al castillo. Una parte es como una mansión que es privada, y debajo de la torre del castillo, también hay un restaurante. Seguidamente cogimos dirección Rennes, y nos llamó la atención un cartel de un pueblo que no conocíamos que se llamaba “Chateaubriant”, y decidimos desviarnos de nuestra ruta para visitarlo. Nos encontramos con una preciosa catedral, en el centro donde decidimos pararnos a comer, unos deliciosos mejillones a la normandi, que son como con una salsa de champiñones, porque aunque nosotros comemos más tarde, aquí a las 14:00 en la mayoría de los restaurantes cierran la cocina. Dimos un paseo por el centro, y en el restaurante que se llamaba “A la Croisette” nos enseñaron fotos antiguas de la plaza y alrededores, e incluso alguna del lugar donde se encontraba ahora situado que antiguamente fue una tienda de coñac. Ya después de comer nos dirigimos hacia las afueras, donde está el castillo, tiene unos jardines impresionantes alrededor donde te puedes perder caminando, y también se pueden acceder a algunas de las torres para sacar fotos desde arriba.(Aquí se pueden contratar visitas guiadas personales en varios idiomas). Una curiosidad que me gustó mucho de esta villa, fue que para acceder a algunas de las casas, cerca del castillo, había que hacer a través de un puente, porque pasaba un pequeño río por debajo. Ya a media tarde nos dirigimos a Dinan, donde nos sorprendió que a la entrada en una curva de repente te encuentras encima de un puente, donde puedes ver arriba a la izquierda la parte amurallada, y abajo a la derecha la zona del puerto. Subimos a los miradores para sacar fotos, y anduvimos por toda la zona antigua, donde había mercadillo de artesanía, y se podían apreciar todas las casitas antiguas de madera todavía intactas, y después nos dirigimos a la zona del puerto donde se pueden realizar circuitos por el río de varias formas, en grupos en catamarán, o personalizados en pequeñas barquitas, aunque a nosotros ya no nos dio tiempo porque quería ir hacia St. Michael para verla de noche.

Dinan

Mont Saint Michael

Desde el coche ya podía ver los impresionante y bonito que era el Monte St. Michael, espectacular, estaba bajando la marea y ya tenía todas las luces encendidas. La calle principal está cortada, solo pueden acceder los coches que van a los hoteles, pero está muy bien preparado, te desvían a la derecha donde hay miles de plazas de parking, y en la avenida principal hay autobuses gratuitos que van y vienen continuamente hasta la 01:00 de la mañana. Nos preguntábamos como harían las personas que estaban allí alojadas para llegar con las maletas, y ya lo descubrimos, llevando las maletas en la mano, por las pequeñas callejuelas interiores. Dentro está todo masificado y preparado para el turismo, con tiendas, restaurantes, etc…. así que nosotros nos quedamos con el exterior, que fotos más bonitas…

Le Croisic

5º día, como estábamos muy cansados del día anterior, decidimos tomarnos el día de relax. Por la mañana un paseo por las tiendecitas del pueblo para comprar el pan, y antes de comer para abrir el apetito, un pequeño paseo por el monte spirit que se encuentra en frente de la casa. Tiene un mirador con unas vistas espectaculares, y por la parte de abajo se encuentra la playa donde la gente va a coger croques, almejas y mejillones. Esto es un golfo, pero cuando baja la marea, queda totalmente descubierto, y la gente se adentra kilómetros para cogerlos, hasta 5 kg. por persona está permitido. Por la tarde a tomar el postre a una crepería que hay en la carretera, que es un molino antiguo, y después a pasar el día a la playa de la Baule. Dicen que es la playa más larga de Europa, aunque más que la playa, lo que nos gustó fueron las casa típicas, cada una más bonita que la anterior. Y ya anocheciendo decidimos venir de vuelta por la costa, pasando por la Pouliguen, y nos encontramos con unos preciosos acantilados, con impresionantes senderos para caminar, aunque también acompañó mucho la puesta de sol que esa noche fue impresionante, y vinimos con calma parando para sacar fotos.

6º día nos dirigimos nuevamente a Saint Michael, ya que nos gustó mucho de noche, y nos quedamos con las ganas de verlo de día. Primero visitamos una granja de patés y foigras que hay a la entrada, donde el propietario un señor muy mayor con una larga barba blanca, muy amable nos enseñó y explicó todos los productos que fabricaban, y también un mapa donde podía alfileres de colores en los lugares del mundo de la gente que paraba allí. Después fuimos a un pequeño zoo de reptiles, tortugas y cocodrilos, lo que más nos gustó fueron las tortugas gigantes, nos quedamos muy sorprendidos por el tamaño y lo que corrían, y también por los cocodrilos albinos, diferentes. Ya hacia el mediodía aparcamos el coche, y buscamos donde comer en la avenida de entrada principal, aunque normalmente en los restaurantes suelen cerrar la cocina a las 14:00 aquí se puede comer más tarde ya que es un lugar muy turístico, pero solo hay 5 o 6 platos a escoger. Después de comer cogimos el autobús para cruzar el puente, y lo primero que hicimos fue rodear la isla por la arena, impresionante, la marea baja kilómetros, puedes andar hacia adentro sin ningún problema. Por dentro tienes una oferta especial, puedes comprar una entrada para visitar todos los museos y exposiciones, aunque nosotros no lo hicimos, ya que nos llevó prácticamente toda la tarde recorrer sus calles, y disfrutar de las fantásticas vistas desde los miradores. Y ya por la noche nos dirigimos a Dinard donde había reservado una noche de hotel, ya que nuestra casa estaba en la parte sur y quería pasar un día más visitando el norte. El hotel se llamaba “Printania”, y estaba muy bien situado, con unas vistas preciosas hacia la bahía y al otro lado St. Malo. El personal era muy agradable y el trato estupendo. Nos explicaros que desde debajo mismo del hotel salía un ferry para St. Malo cada media hora.

7º día, por la mañana recorrimos Dinard, con playa por ambos lados, en el centro donde nos sentamos a desayunar, había las típicas tiendas de campaña con las rayas azules y blancas para alquilar que nos recuerdan a años pasados. Hay muchas escuelas de deportes náuticos, y mucha gente practicándolos. Por la parte de detrás del hotel, al cruzar el puente hacia las playas, lo primero que te encuentras es una piscina natural impresionante, está cerrada, y cuando baja la marea puedes pasear alrededor, y aunque el tiempo no acompañaba, había mucha gente en el agua. Ya hacia el mediodía cogimos camino hacia el cabo frehel y el castillo de Fort-la- latte, el cabo no nos gustó mucho, porque nos esperábamos otra cosa, tienes que pagar al aparcar y si quieres subir al faro otra vez, y es lo único que hay. Los acantilados son muy bonitos, y tiene muchos caminos para hacer rutas para quien le guste el senderismo. Pero lo que si disfrutamos y nos encantó fue el castillo, fue el primero que encontramos que pudimos visitar por dentro, y aunque la entrada cuesta unos 5 € por persona, no es nada caro, merece la pena. Según vas bajando por el camino ya lo puedes ver a lo lejos sobre una pequeña isla de roca, por dentro está restaurado y puedes acceder a todos los lugares prácticamente desde los torreones hasta las mazmorras. Y ya después de comer volvimos hacia el sur, donde al llegar todavía nos dio tiempo a recorrer otro de los maravillosos senderos que tiene Le Croisic, y disfrutar de la puesta de sol.

Guerande

8º día, por la mañana fuimos a visitar Guerande, la ciudad medieval por excelencia de la zona, es muy bonita puedes recorrer la muralla por arriba, y en la plaza central donde está la iglesia hay un mercado impresionante con productos típicos de la zona, la mayoría de ellos biológicos directamente de las granjas, y en todos los puestos puedes probar los productos antes de comprarlos. También hay un castillo que se puede visitar, y donde puedes comer o cenar atendido por camareros con los trajes de la época. Como venía la familia a visitarnos desde París, comimos en el puerto de Le Croisic, y después nos dedicamos a hacer algunas compras de productos típicos, como la sal, los caramelos de toffe salados, el vino de la región, o los pasteles, aprovechando que ellos nos acompañaban para recomendarnos los sitios donde debíamos comprar. Y ya al anochecer nos fuimos a jugar unas partidas al mini golf que está en la entrada del pueblo, donde está el molino, es muy gracioso porque está ambientado en las salinas de la zona.

9º día, había mercado en el pueblo, y pasamos la mañana recorriéndolo, la familia nos presentó a algunos amigos, y también fuimos al mercado cerrado que es como la plaza de abastos, donde hay productos de la zona de muy buena calidad, donde compraron productos de la zona para prepararnos una comida típica en casa. Por la tarde fuimos a la punta que hay frente al pueblo para quitar fotos desde el otro lado, se llama “Pen-Bron”, y hay que aparcar antes de llegar al final, porque no se puede acceder con el coche para preservarlo, aunque también hay barcos que son taxis desde Le Croisic todo el día, y se puede cruzar y recorrer todo en bicicleta, o también si está la marea muy baja se puede cruzar andando. Merece la pena, hay muchos senderos para caminar, y la playa es estupenda para coger navajas.

10º día, nos dirigimos a Pornic, para visitarlo, y aunque a primera vista no parece tener mucho encanto, te sorprende cuando empiezas a cruzar el puente y de repente al fondo entre las flores se mira un precioso castillo en el mismo centro delante del paseo. Después fuimos a Nantes, a la fábrica de las máquinas. Visitamos la galería, la cual en nuestra opinión no merece la pena, ya que las explicaciones de los inventos las dan solo en Francés y alguno en Inglés, y la película de cómo se fabricó en elefante igual, al contrario que el elefante, es majestuoso, es precioso ver como se mueve, y al subirme puedes ver como es el mecanismo por dentro. Lo que no entendemos es como un sitio con tanto turismo no tiene ningún restaurante, hay dos bares, y ambos solo tienen 4 clases de bocadillos, nada más, y si vas después de las dos ya no tienen nada. Si hay un barco enfrente del carrusel gigante que es restaurante, pero es muy caro, aunque hay que decir que las vistas son muy bonitas y que la comida estaba buenísima. Mucha gente llevaba la comida, y algunos salían a comer fuera que también se puede. Ya a la vuelta nos paramos a la entrada del pueblo, a visitar la fábrica de chocolate, una pequeña empresa familiar, donde tienen degustación de todos sus productos, que todavía realiza todo de forma artesanal, y que por eso consigue unos chocolates buenísimos.

Y hasta aquí nuestro viaje a la Bretaña Francesa, a la cual volveremos, porque nos quedó mucho por visitar y merece la pena conocerla……
